Jack Artman |
|
Jack raised his niece in Paris through most of WWII, while her parents were in concentration camps. Money was scarce so toys were a luxury they couldn't afford. Years later, he came to visit her in Israel and brought her a magnificent doll. Although she was a grown woman, he wanted to give her the childhood she never had. The moment of their reunion was recreated into a framedmemory. The background is the port of Haifa in 1950 - where they were reunited. Jack is on the left and his niece is on the right.
