Rosa Nagel |
|
On the morning of July 16th 1942, a French policeman knocked on Rosa Nagel's door. He ordered her to pack a bag, get her daughter Marinette, 12 and niece Fanny, 8, to be transported to a German concentration camp. At the bottom of the stairs, Rosa pushed the girls through a back door and escaped. The brief moment of freedom was recreated into a framedmemory. The courtyard is of Rosa's apartment in Paris in 1942 and the woman in the yellow blouse is Rosa at the age of 29. Click on the picture to enlarge. |
